Brick Size
A standard brick size is 3 5/8" x 2 1/4" x 8", but brick also comes in various other sizes. The four types of brick Brunson supplies include the following:
King Size Brick
King Size Brick saves up to 30% in total masonry costs because fewer brick are handled and laid and less mortar is required. King size brick are available in over 100 colors and a variety of textures. The brick's standard dimensions are 3 5/8" x 2 3/4" x 9 5/8".
Queen Size Brick
Queen Size Brick comes in a great variety of textures and works well for special-brick details. This brick is an excellent size for commercial projects. The brick's standard dimensions are 2 2/4" x 2 3/4" x 7 5/8".
Chicago Used Brick
Chicago Used Brick is perhaps the most beautiful brick ever made. These hand molded bricks come in varying shades that range from pink to buff and sometimes have touches of black or gold. The brick's standard dimensions are 1 1/2" x 3 3/4" to 3 3/4" x 9".
Modular Brick
Modular Brick is designed to make it easier to insert standard sizes of doors and windows into walls. Modular doors and windows, and of course modular bricks, all fit into a 4 inch by 4 inch grid. For bricks, the 4-inch module includes the thickness of the mortar joints. The brick's standard dimensions are 4" x 2 2/3" x 8".
